This animation took several hours to do but it has many different application for school. It can help boys get interested in writing as they plan out their story before the animation even starts

Podcasting

Podcasting is fantasic in my opinion, my group and I found the software very easy to use and we made are podcast within one session. However if I were to use the software in school I would allow the children time to plan and design their podcast as it would improve results.

Having seen a school use this idea and also seeing that it was successful I see know reason why more schools do not try this concept. One hugh benifit that I can see is that it get boy's interested in writing because they are writing for a purpose!

Super Dooper Music Looper!!

I found that when using this software, it was simple. There wasn't anything really that was 'music knowledge' in particular. And for me that was great. The program, I found was very user friendly and more importantly, child friendly. I see no reason why a child could not make a piece of music (which would probably be better than mine).

Unfortunately I have mot been able to add my music to this post as I am not sure how to, if it is even possible. If you know of a way to add a music file please let me know or say how you found the software.

Animation

Over the past day or two I have been playing with animation software, inparticular on that works with stick figures. It's a time consuming process to get everything finished but here is my movie that I have made.

Problems

What happens when it doesn't work?

I've been trying to add a post to do with animation however it will not post. It says that it has but it doesn't come up! (same thing happens with this one to!!!!)

Does this put anyone off ICT and using it in school. We are told that we need to embrace it but sometimes it's better to just use other things! My problem is small but others can be much larger and can really disrupt a lesson that is in progress!

I understand that nothing is never 100% going to work every time and we need to plan for the worst but with so many other things to think about what takes priority?

Websites

We all have been told that there are loads of websites for teachers to use and that we need to be saving them within are favorites, but some of us would have found more than other.

ICT condence

What confidence do I have within ICT?

Firstly I feel that this question has 2 answers:-

1) am I confident using ICT
2) am I confident using ICT within the classroom

I believe that I have fairly good ICT qualities that are adequate for the classroom but I these qualities need to continue to progress at the same speed or even fast than technology progresses itself.

Nobody can have all the knowledge that they need in an area such as ICT but I feel that at present I am in a good position to improve the skills that I have which will in affect (hopefully) improve the quality of teaching and learning with the classroom.
